Born in Santo Domingo on November 18th 1994, he started playing drums at the age of 15, he is the only musician in his family. Cabeto prepared himself for 6 months to enter the National Conservatory, he studied there for 4 years and a half. While at the Conservatory he was exposed to many great jazz players from his country, that eventually took him to become their drummer. His greatest musical influence and mentor from his country is Gustavo Rodriguez, one of the top jazz piano player from the DR.

Before coming to Berklee, Cabeto enrolled at INTEC University to study Economics and graduated Summa Cum Laude at the age of 20 and he was very active in the DR music scene performing in important venues/halls at the DR such as Altos de Chavon, National Theater, Palacio de Bellas Artes, The DR Jazz Festival, among others.

Cabeto is currently studying performance at Berklee College of Music under a scholarship. He received the Steve Gadd award in 2017.
